Dhing's Thai Cuisine

Overview

Dhing's Thai Cuisine on 4000 E Market St Suite 100, Logansport, IN 46947, United States, has quickly become one of my favorite spots for authentic Thai flavors in the area. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff make you feel right at home, like stepping into a little corner of Thailand. The menu is packed with classic dishes, from spicy curries to delicate noodle bowls, all made with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes that showcase real expertise in Thai cooking.

On my first visit, I tried their Pad Thai with shrimp, and it immediately stood out. The balance of sweet, sour, and salty flavors was impeccable, and the noodles were perfectly cooked-not mushy or overdone, which can be a problem in other diners. I also noticed that their ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible, adding a freshness that makes a huge difference. According to a study by the National Restaurant Association, diners are 60% more likely to return to restaurants that emphasize fresh, high-quality ingredients, and Dhing's Thai Cuisine clearly fits this trend.

Another standout on the menu is their Green Curry, which comes with tender pieces of chicken simmered in a creamy coconut base with fragrant Thai herbs. The complexity of flavors reminded me of a cooking workshop I attended where a Thai chef demonstrated how balancing spices can elevate a dish from ordinary to memorable. Watching professionals at work made me appreciate the subtle details Dhing’s incorporates, like the precise use of kaffir lime leaves and galangal, which many places overlook.

The diner also takes care in accommodating different dietary preferences. They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, and they’re always willing to customize dishes on request. This attention to customer needs aligns with research showing that flexibility in menu offerings significantly enhances dining satisfaction. Personally, I once requested a tofu substitute in a curry dish, and the chef not only obliged but prepared it in a way that kept all the original flavors intact.

The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with upbeat background music and an open kitchen where you can see dishes being prepared. For anyone planning a visit, parking is convenient, and the location on E Market St makes it easily accessible. In terms of reviews, Dhing's Thai Cuisine has received high praise for both food quality and service. Local food bloggers often mention the friendly staff and quick service, while reviewers highlight the generous portions that make every meal feel worth the price.

I also had a chance to speak with the owner during one visit, and their passion for authentic Thai cuisine really shines through. They’ve studied traditional cooking techniques for years and regularly attend culinary seminars to stay updated on global trends, ensuring every dish maintains a high standard. This dedication shows in the consistency of flavors and the professional presentation of each plate.

Desserts at Dhing’s are another hidden gem. Their mango sticky rice is delightfully sweet and creamy, striking the perfect balance to finish a meal. Pairing this with a jasmine tea brings a sense of completeness that makes dining here more than just about food-it’s an experience.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, the combination of authentic recipes, fresh ingredients, attentive service, and a welcoming environment makes this location a standout choice for Thai cuisine in Logansport. The diner demonstrates how a small, locally-focused restaurant can deliver flavors on par with top-rated city establishments, proving that quality and care make all the difference in the dining experience.

Had a very sweet waitress. Food portions were good size and had some leftovers. Dinner was very favorable. Ask them to spice it up a bit more since like hot dishes. Love there tea. Just got work on the out of date seating, which isn't that big of a deal. Place definitely a little gem.

Dhing's has good service, excellent food, and reasonable prices. Our favorite entree are the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice, with spring rolls.

Pineapple fryed rice was perfect in every way. Waitress very pleasant and hard working. If you are in logansport it's the best choice for good food. My personal opinion of course.

At the suggestion of a coworker, I decided to make a trip to Logansport to try Dhing's Thai. Upon entering, I noted the small but well-decorated self-seating dining area. The bright colors and sound of the kitchen made it very inviting. I opted for the Pud Kee Mow with chicken and medium spice. The service was as expected, but still fairly quick, for made-to-order food. The noodles in my dish were small and delicious, with sufficient egg and chicken to make this a hearty meal for two. The spice level was appropriate for a "medium" request. As such, I would say "hot" might be a bit much for most people. There was an oddly large amount of oil in the dish when I finally made it to the bottom. I'm not sure if that is part of the spice mix, but I assume it is essential to the dish. Nothing specifically wrong with that, but it was just unusual when compared to other similar dishes I've had elsewhere. The bill was around $15 with a drink and the tip. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommended if you are in Logansport looking for something different.

One of my favorites!! Love the garlic chicken(pictured), pud Thai w/chicken, and pud woon Sen. Their egg rolls are so good with their sweet and sour as well! Yummy! I also would recommend the Thai Tea

Got to meet the owner at this Hidden Gem! Passionate and talented chef. Highly recommend their Pud or Pad Thai noodle entrees (all of the meats are great!) I personally ordered the Pineapple fried rice w/chicken and Garlic Pork entree on the side. You can pick what spice level you want. Wife went with no spice (incredibly delicious still) and I went with the mild spice (idk how they spice it but it enhanced the flavor!) Highly recommend you check this place out if you’re in Logansport and want to try something new, savory, and packed with flavor!

I love the flavor and visual appeal of Dhing's food. Some of the best Thai, perhaps the best I have ever had. Consistent everytime I eat there. The staff is very nice and want to earn business. Wish they would open another store in Kokomo. The picture doesn't do it justice. They put lot's of protein and veggies in their dishes. Love it!
